So, what do you call a show that follows around the current Miss Universe, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and last year's broke down Miss USA? How about Pageant Place!
This is a new show on MTV that I happened to catch after my guilty pleasure, The Real World. I know, how can I still watch that after all this time? What is it, like the 82nd season? Anyway, this show cracks me up. The current Miss USA and the current Miss Universe are pretty sensible. However, throw in Tara Connor, the Miss USA who went to rehab and the person who outed her addiction, the current Miss Teen USA, and you've got yourself some uncomfortable situations. I love it! You should totally watch. What's not to like: a broke down beauty queen and three fighting cats. Beautiful!

Rainy Days and Mondays
Usually they don't get me down, but for some reason, today I have just not been my chipper self. It could be the fact the pollen/mold counts are so high, I feel like my head is about to explode. Other than that, it's been an alright day.
In other news, there isn't any other news. Bikes, Blues, and Barbecue invaded Fayetteville this last weekend, so I stayed hidden indoors...away from the drunkards...living with the window rattling. It seemed that all weekend long, my windows vibrated with the roar of every motorcycle that drove by. And trust me, that averaged out to about every 32 seconds.

Scripture for the day...
Verse 13 from this passage is one of my favorite from the Bible. And I love reading it in The Message Bible. If you ever get a chance, get a copy of The Message Bible. It puts a whole new perspective on your interpretation of God's Word.
Philippians 4:10-14

I rejoice greatly in the Lord that at last you have renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you have been concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Yet it was good of you to share in my troubles

I'm in Blog Withdrawal.
I feel like I haven't blogged in so long! Anyway, this weekend, the Hogs played North Texas and killed them 66 to 7. It was great. I told my friends that if we were up 50 to 0 at halftime, we could leave. The score was 45 to 7. We left after the band played. They did so much better. Pregame, not so much. My vote is to re-institute pregame to all its previous glory! The halftime show was dedicated to Dr. Eldon Janzen, who directed the band until 1994. They did one of his favorite shows, and I must say, although we had played one of the songs in my tenure in band, it was ten times better than last week. I even got a great shot of the Go Hogs spell out with my phone!

Do you remember?
In the light of the bad times the Hogs are suffering now, let's relive some of the glory days. I can remember vividly watching the 1994 NCAA Basketball Championship. I was a senior in high school, about to graduate, and headed to the University of Arkansas in the fall. I remember sitting with my hands over my eyes because I couldn't stand to watch what would happen. Too bad we don't have any of these guys playing for us again!
